This is a worthy vampire story. I wrote one myself for Nifty. “Tony” is an attractive character, intriguing, mysterious, and has a moral compass. My only criticism is that the farm boy is a bit of a caricature, like Jethro in “The Beverly Hillbillies.” Readers could figure out what was what long before he was capable of doing. He says stupid things like “Just shut up and fuck me, Dracula.” It would have liked a brighter, less clueless counterpoint to “Tony.”
