Miguel Santos stepped out of his police cruiser clutching a thermos of coffee in one hand and his keys in the other.
The small, two story library loomed in front of him, its equally diminutive parking lot sparse early on a Saturday.
Using his elbow, Miguel shut the door and set his thermos down on top of the vehicle’s roof before locking it and jamming the keys in his pocket.
